I started Pivotal because I believe in the goodness of humans.
I'm not sure if you've noticed but we're in a very...interesting...time period.
We have innovation at our fingertips and technological advances that have the power to change our world in any direction imaginable.
Our efficiency is sky-rocketed, allowing us to complete complex tasks quicker than ever. Which, by default in our society, means more tasks. (Rest? We don't know her...)
Entertainment is at our *literal* fingertips. Our ability to socially blossom and interact with one another is unlike any other time in history. So, we interact (virtually).
And yet, many of us struggle to have meaningful conversations with those closest to us. Many of us are uncertain what we feel or believe.
When we pick up our phone to get the latest updates, we're hit with tragedy after tragedy...and instead of coming together, we point fingers. We call names. We say, "why aren't you doing more?"
Then, we distract ourselves from the problem and our own emotional response by scrolling...by drowning out the noise with more noise.
To be fair - I agree that we all need a little TikTok-esque humor.
But, something has gotta give...
I used to believe that personal growth was the ongoing goal. That 'being your best self' was what brought success - and therefore happiness along with a better world.
But I'm beginning to realize that personal and communal understanding is the ongoing goal.
To fall in love with the journey of self-discovery, alongside one another.
Because to know ourselves is to love ourselves.
And to love ourselves is to love each other.
My contribution to this work comes in the form of retreats, group coaching sessions, 1-on-1 coaching sessions, NUSHU groups and my public podcast. Thank you for being here!
